Your resume is one of the most personal documents you own. It contains your name, work history, education, skills, and sometimes your phone number and address. We designed ResumeKit so that none of this information ever reaches our servers. Your resume content, personal details, and career information stay entirely in your browser. We do not upload, transmit, or store any of it.

How Our Tools Work

Every ResumeKit tool — the resume builder, cover letter generator, CV builder, reference sheet creator, LinkedIn summary writer, resignation letter generator, thank you letter builder, and keyword analyzer — runs entirely in your web browser. When you type your name, job title, or work experience into one of our forms, that data lives in your browser's memory and nowhere else. When you export a document, the file is generated locally and downloaded directly to your device.

Information We Do Not Have Access To

We cannot see your name, contact information, employment history, education, skills, or any text you enter into our tools. We cannot access your generated resumes, cover letters, or any other documents. We do not have a user account system, so there is no profile data, login credentials, or usage history stored on our end.

Browser Storage

ResumeKit may use your browser's localStorage to save drafts and preferences so you can pick up where you left off. This data is stored on your device only. We have no ability to read it remotely. If you want to clear saved data, you can do so through your browser's settings or by clearing site data for resumekit.dev.

Advertising

ResumeKit is a free service supported by advertising through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to personalize the ads you see based on your browsing activity across the web. This is standard behavior for ad-supported websites. You have the option to disable personalized ads through Google's Ads Settings or by using your browser's cookie controls.

Cookies

ResumeKit does not set its own cookies. Third-party advertising services may place cookies as described above. We do not use cookies for tracking, session management, or analytics.

Hosting & Infrastructure

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, a static hosting platform. Cloudflare may process standard server logs that include IP addresses, timestamps, and page URLs as part of their normal operations. This is infrastructure-level data that we do not directly control. For more detail, see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Children

ResumeKit is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Updates

We may revise this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page. We recommend reviewing it occasionally.
